AASD OFFICE CLOSURE
AASD will be sending out
a Daily Update,
Monday-Friday, throughout the
school closure period. The
Weekly Update
will continue as usual on
Thursdays with the typical news
and information for AASD
members. The AASD Office
will remain closed during
the period of time the
schools/district
are closed. AASD
staff will be working remotely
and can be reached at the
contact information at the end
of this Update.
AASD has created a Google Form
for AASD Members to report
issues, questions or concerns
regarding work-related issues
and the COVID-19 virus.
Any issues, questions or
concerns submitted via the
Google form will be shared daily
with the District. AASD
will then share the answers to
issues, questions or concerns
submitted as those answers are
received from the
district. You may
also share your gratitude for
another AASD member, district
personnel, etc. via the same
link.

IMPACTS AND EFFECTS OF
SCHOOL REOPENING
BARGAINING BEGINS
TODAY
The AASD bargaining team
met with the District team
today. As of
publication of this Daily
Update, the teams are still
meeting. Information
regarding the bargaining
session will be provided in
Monday’s Daily Update.
Today will likely be a
presentation from the
District team.

Q and A (Thursday, July
2, 2020) (Questions
were submitted by AASD

publishes the answers as

Q:
Should sites start to
purchase PPE for
staff/students and/or
plexiglass (for our
front office counters
for example) out of site
funds? My front
office staff is very
concerned about the
protocol in the
office areas. When
will we know more about
these procedures or is
it up to sites to start
to building a plan?
A: (Answer provided by AASD;
waiting for additional
information from the
District) AASD’s
understanding is that PPE is
being ordered in a bulk
order through PPO. In
addition, PPO will manage
ordering whatever materials
are needed to bring the
sites into compliance with
the health and safety
order. AASD has asked
the district to also respond
to this question. More
information to come.
