DAILY UPDATE #89 -- 7/27/2020

  • AASD OFFICE CLOSURE
AASD will be sending out a Daily Update, Monday-Friday, throughout the return to instruction/ school reopening period.  The Weekly Update will continue as usual on Thursdays with the typical news and information for AASD members.  The AASD Office continues to remain closed.  AASD staff are working remotely and can be reached via the contact information at the end of this Update.

AASD has created a Google Form for AASD Members to report issues, questions or concerns regarding work-related issues, COVID-19, return to instruction and school reopening.  AASD will provide answers to issues, questions or concerns submitted as answers become available.  You may also share your gratitude for another AASD member, district personnel, etc. via the same link.

  • DISTRICT COMMUNICATIONS
The following communication was sent by Custodial Operations to all BSS I, BSS II, BSS III and POS’ on July 22:

    Greetings,
    Subject: COVID-19 District Guidelines

Hoping you are all safe and well. I’ve attached COVID-19 District Guidelines for informational purposes for all custodial staff. Please take the time with your custodial staff to read the guidelines in detail for clarity, understanding, and for proper adherence. Also attached is a concise video which covers the six basic aspects of the district guidelines and an employee symptom questionnaire flow chart; for supervisor’s reference. The video will give visual examples of how to adhere to the district guidelines. The attached flow chart will help in answering some questions and providing direction to next steps regarding COVID-19 related situations. There is also a comprehensive workbook for documenting daily temperature readings for each of your employees. Please send a copy of the workbook weekly (Fridays) to your area CSS, for accounting purposes.

Expect a site visit this week from district staff to deliver needed equipment and documents in support of the attached district guidelines. If you have questions or concerns please contact your area CSS for support. Thank you for your attention to this important matter and your efforts in supporting a safe and productive work environment.

    Respectfully,
    Ron Dare
