  • Q and A (Friday, September 18, 2020)
Q:  Are general education teachers required to write present levels of performance for students with IEPs now that they can access IEPs on PowerSchool and presents levels of performance portion on the IEP template is writable?
A:  (Provided by the District/Sarah Ott)   Present levels are required to be input by the IEP team.  As part of the call to action for students with disabilities, we want to have general education teachers take a more active role in the IEP development and process.  This is one way that general education teachers can give input to the IEP.  This has been done in the past, however the general education teacher would give this information to the educational specialist other ways and now can write it directly into the IEP.

Q:  The technology support phone lines for staff, students and parents are inundated. Wait times are reportedly ranging from 30 to 90 minutes. What is the plan to address this?
A:  (Provided by the District)   As mentioned in the IT Updates - Sept 14
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zRr3DNAOGLyh5KsU0wrxC1-lurOan5amFtWX1qPLpPE/edit?usp=sharing> in the Educator Update, IT is in the process of adding staff to handle call volume for the Family Internet Support Line.
