- DISTRICT COMMUNICATIONS
The following communication was sent to principals on April 16:
- UPDATED FAQ
- Members of the central office team and SDEA have partnered to revise our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) regarding the April 12th Return of Students.
- We will continue to share most updated information to educators and principals through this shared document to ensure a safe and successful reopening of school.
- E3 UPDATE
- We appreciate your willingness to participate in this process during the most challenging year in education. We appreciate the collaboration and partnership among educators and leaders and we are almost to the finish line.
- Based on feedback from administrators and educators, we adapted the E3 process for the remainder of this school year:
- Site leaders and educators may mutually agree to either:
- Continue in the implementation of E3. The deadline for the final summary evaluation/reflection for employees on cycle (E3 full or modified) was April 30th and has been extended to June 1st.
- If educators continue their participation, they are welcome to attend training that will be ongoing through the remainder of this year.
- Resume the E3 implementation process in the 2021/22 school year.
- In this case, site leaders and educators would not be required to participate in additional E3 training for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.
- NOTE FROM AASD – AASD RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE FROM A MEMBER TODAY: I would like to thank central office leadership for supporting site leaders by allowing us the option to delay the E3 rollout to the 2021-22 school year. With the reopening of school and the various other initiatives taking place, it makes sense for some of us to not try to implement a new growth/evaluation model at this time. Thank you for being flexible and supportive.
(FYI -- THE REQUEST TO ALLOW ADMINISTRATORS TO PAUSE E3 AND RESUME NEXT YEAR CAME FROM AASD)
- MEALS FOR ONLINE LEARNERS
- Please remind online learners that they are able to go to any of the district’s 19 curbside meal pick-up locations (listed on this flyer) to receive their meals.
- Meals are available for pick-up Monday through Friday from 12p.m. to 2p.m. at most sites.
- If families reach out to you indicating they are unable to make it to one of the curbside sites, please coordinate with the kitchen staff at your school to have take-home meal bags available for those families to pick-up from your school.
