AASD SUMMERFEST - FRIDAY, JUNE 14, 2024 It's almost here! AASD's end-of-the-year celebration - Summerfest! Join your colleagues forAloha Friday on June 14, 5:00-10:00 PM, at Marina Village, Baja Room, 1904 Quivira Way, San Diego 92109. The evening will also include honoring our AASD Distinguished Leaders and our AASD Retiring Members.
Summerfest isFREE for all members - Members in Good Standing, Affiliate Members and Retired Members. This festive, Hawaiian-themed party includes appetizers, dinner, dessert, and beverages. Attendees will also enjoy music provided by our first-ever live band - 5 O'clock at Nikki's!
Appetizers, buffet dinner, and dessert will be provided by Homestyle Hawaiian Catering. The delicious menu includes Kalua Wontons, Lumpia (meat & veggie), and Musubi (Spam & tofu), Korean Chicken, Kalua Pig, Teriyaki Beef, Coconut Shrimp, Pancit (veggie), Steamed White Rice, Macaroni Salad, and Oriental Salad. For dessert, a platter of Malasadas and Cookies will be served at each table. Beverages will include sodas, iced tea, beer, wine and Mai Tai's.
In keeping with this fun, casual event, we hope you will embrace the Hawaiian theme and wear your aloha shirts, board shorts, and flip flops. Let your inner surfer dude or hula dancer come out to play and join the fun! The music will surely entice dancers to the dance floor to shake their grass skirts! The Member Relations Committee and UASC staff have been working hard to provide all members with an awesome party that marks the end of the school year.
