The annual AASD/SDUSD Spring Conference will be held on March 25, 2026, from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Marina Village.  Per the Superintendent, attendance at this annual event is MANDATORY for all AASD unit members (certificated and classified).  That means all Principals, Associate Principals, Instructional Coordinators, Central Office Certificated Managers, Classified Managers and Classified Supervisors.  Additionally, all non-represented management and all confidential employees are invited.

This year’s theme is The Undiscovered Country: Harnessing AI to Amplify Leadership Efficiency.  Our keynote speaker is Mark Erlenwein, an amazing principal from Staten Island, New York, who is not only an expert in using AI in his daily work life but presents with a keen sense of humor!  Following the keynote, all attendees will attend a breakout session of their choice.

Breakfast will be provided for all attendees.  Upon arrival, check in at the Baja Room (south end of the complex) and select your ticket for one breakout session (descriptions on the website below).  There are limited tickets for each session so arrive early to select your preferred session.  There will be time prior to the opening welcome from the Superintendent and keynote speaker for attendees to enjoy breakfast, entertainment from the jazz ensemble from SDSCPA, visiting with vendor partners, and networking with colleagues.  There will be raffle prizes for visiting the vendor partners.

For the breakout sessions, those who attend the entire session (11:15 AM to 12:30 PM) will be eligible to win a $500 gift card.  One $500 gift card will be given away at each breakout session for those who attend the entire session.  A name will be drawn at each breakout session at the close of the session.  Must be present to win!
